  7. I love you kay bear 101! I will miss your beautiful smile that lit up the room. Even if you were having a bad day that smile would turn on and your dimples would sink in - And immediatly I felt happy! I last saw you on Friday at school and you were soOo excited to go on the cruis with your family to EUROPE! I was so jealous...You said that you would tell me all about it when you got back and take lots of pictures...You were full of energy and smiles and I love that last memory of brushing shoulders with such an amazing person - To your family: Your daughter was a light to the Paul Mitchell school here in Rexburg and I loved being her instructer. She is forever in my heart and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for sharing her with us... She will be greatly missed.

  8. I remembering being at the Lusvardi home the day Kristan brought home her pink Puma shoes. She was SO proud of how cute they were. Her smile and radiating joy made us all laugh, so happy. It didn't matter how long it had been since you last saw her; if it had been an hour or a year. She always made me feel so welcome, appreciated, and important. You are incredible Kristan.

  19. I love Kristan Lusvardi. Some of my favorite memories of her are playing in her backyard in Virginia. I remember going to her dance recital where she wore a silver fluffy dress and sang "We're in the Money!" I remember laughing with her, watching her and my sisters create adventures, and I remember her GORGEOUS smile. She is a beautiful example to me of vivacity and joy.

  23. KayKay,
So...I didn't go to work today at good ol' Broulims...figured I would start balling as soon as I set foot in that place. Instead I am here on your blog, sipping on a Jamba with thoughts of all the great times we shared. Wow, girlie, I sure do miss you. I'm wishing the "I love Grandma" hadn't been washed off my car. You know? The one you so carefully made sure to cover my ENTIRE back window. :) Remember when we played N64? You had all those little clips in your hair that I gave you. You were so excited. I remember you getting up from sleeping at 11pm, you were half delirious and completely hysterical with your bowl of cereal with OREO's mixed in. The next morning you would be like, "why is there a bowl of cereal in my room?" You cracked me up girlie. You LOVED your OREO's. I loved just sitting and watching Animal Cops with you on Animal Planet and us talking about how we would beat the crap out of people who hurt animals. We would have been awesome at that! And you were the first girl to ever really call me by my favorite nicname. And of course only YOU would put Grandma in front of it because I guess I'm super old compared to you. Well KayKay, time to dry my eyes. You really lit up my life for that short time we lived together. Miss you.

    Always,
    Grandma Livvy

  25. I am touched by how many lives are affected by a sweet soul. I am in Kristan's father's ward at BYU, he is my bishop. I remember clearly one of the first sundays that I spent in that ward. Kristan was invited by her father to stand and bear her testimony and introduce herself. I am sure the invitation came practically out of the blue, but she handled it like a champ, and bore a beautiful testimony of Christ while making the whole congregation laugh. Though I didn't know her well she exuded happiness, she was like the girl with the perpetual smile. I know from the happy way that she talked about her parents and family that she loved them deeply and seemed to cherish them as best friends. She undoubtedly lived life happy, the way we should. I hope to live life with the same zeal she did. To the Lusvardi family: I love you. My prayers are yours and my heart is with you. Thank you for raising Kristan, such a wonderful person who has brightened the lives of so many more than will ever post here.

She was so talented, and smart, and one of the biggest thing that I would say about Kristen is her smile. She had a great smile and it always seemed to be on her face. Her smile and laugh were infectious! I just want her and her family to know my thoughts and prayers are with them. What a tragedy.

  29. Lusvardi family, thank you so much for raising such a wonderful girl. I have known Kristan since Jr. High. I remember my first impressions of her were that she was so friendly and kind to everyone... and that she loved hippos. Although I wasn't in her close circle of friends, her impact on my life was remarkably great. I am so grateful for that. She always had such a great attitude and she just lit up the classroom. She has inspired me to be more positive about life and to live it to its fullest.

My heart goes out to the Lusvardi family and all the close friends that Kristan had. Kristan, your impact on me was greater than you could imagine. I love you.

  32. Kristan is such a beautiful girl with bright eyes and a radiant smile. One of my favorite memories of her is her love for "Treazure" the cat and how she was so concerned for its care when she'd go out of town. I remember last summer when we were going to watch it for a week or two while she was gone, she brought us down a huge long list of everything that needed to be done each day and how to care for it. Her list contained 6 or 7 pages all taped together one after the other and she was still very careful that we read and understood our responsibilities. I am so grateful I have gotten to know her over the last few years. Mark and Julie, my whole heart and prayers go out to you. I love you both so much and wish I could be there to support your family this week. Please know that my thoughts and sincere prayers are with you. Kristan lived life to the fullest and I will miss her vibrance and excitement.

  43. Mark, Julianne and family, we send our warmest thoughts and condolences to you all. We know you're enduring these difficult days with great faith, and that through your tears, you're feeling the comfort, warmth and promises of our Heavenly Father. You've been constantly in our prayers, and will continue to be.

We only rubbed shoulders with Kristan as a young girl in VA. However, we remember watching General Conference at your house the month we moved to Clifton, VA. I still remember Kristan's dazzling smile that very day..a tad shy at meeting a new family with a bunch of big ole boys...yet sweet, kind, and dazzling all the same! What joy she must have brought into your lives!

I wondered how in the world any of us who love you--who have been so positively influenced by your family--could say anything at all that will really assist in healing? I prayerfully decided that there was little to say because you already have that "Light"--you already know the "Plan."

As President H. J. Grant said at a similar time to what you're experiencing, "[T]here was in my home at that time a peaceful influence, a comfort and a joy that is beyond the comprehension of those who know nothing of the Gospel and of the peace that it brings into our hearts."

Perhaps one of the greatest gifts of God is the ability to remember and relive past happy memories. Your beautiful Kristan gave you a myriad of such memories, we know. Many, many blessings on you all as you go through the next weeks. We know the Savior knows exactly what each of you needs at each moment.

With love and with testimonies reaffirming His love,
Dale and Gayle Ellis and Family

  47. I'm a "distant relative", Alene, the daughter of Elroy and Lenon Bezzant. My Dad, Elroy, is the cousin of Bob Bezzant, Kristan's grandfather, and my mother is the cousin of Elaine Bezzant, Kristan's grandmother. Although I don't really know Kristan, I know both of her dear grandparents and what loving, enthusiastic, joyful people they are. I know that her Grandmother Bezzant is rejoicing at their recent reunion, even as her Grandfather must be mourning the circumstances. This website is a great tribute to a beautiful young woman. Through reading comments that have been posted here, and by looking at the photographs that have been posted, it is clear that Kristan is a dazzling being. Beautiful in life, she is surely radiant now, as she continues to grow and build upon the experiences of this lifetime. My heart is with all of you, as are my prayers. Alene Bezzant Endter

  58. I am so grateful the night Kristan died we spoke to her and had a nice conversation. She was planning to buy a life vest so she could go swimming in a nearby lake. She wanted me to send her Grandma Ruby's banana nut bread recipe so she could make it the next day. She talked to her dad about how excited she was to go on a cruise vacation we had planned soon. Walking in Paul's Footsteps. It would take in Greece, Italy, and Spain. She told us about how much fun she had had with Jamie's family 4 wheeling and camping for 4 days with no shower! She was proud of herself being able to survive just on baby wipes! She talked about how excited she was to come home for the weekend and that she already had Dads Fathers Day gift. A flying pig ornament for the lawn! So glad we had talked. Love her, don't forget her! Mama Lusvardi

  59. I asked David last week what his favorite memory of Kristan was and he said it was when he would wear an extra big button down shirt. Kristan must have been little, because he would put her under the shirt and her little head would pop out above one of the top buttons. He said he loved walking around with her like that.
I knew Kristan for 12 of her 19 years, and what I loved most about her was her enthusiasm. She always had a big hug to greet me. Our family will miss her, but what a great reunion we have to look forward to one day! What a great family to be a part of. We love you all, Lusvardi family!

  60. First i am so sorry for your loss, Kristan was an awesome girl with a such a great personality. My heart goes out to her close friends and family, you will all continue to be in my prayers. I've known Kristan since 7th grade.. we weren't really close but we did have some good times, :) and we always had a couple classes together. Senior year we had 4 of the same classes together. One of which was english, that class was a lot of fun and she always made everyone laugh. I remember everyday she would sit next to me and tell me all about her shaved legs ''Brittany i shave my legs everyday in the shower.. even if i'm running late i still shave them.. i have to shave them everyday no matter what!!'' hahaha she was so funny. When i think of her i can hear her laugh perfectly.. she always had a smile on her face just like everyone else has said and it's totally true. The world is now one less great person, but heaven has just gained one and i know she has a lot to do up there and that she'll keep a close eye on all of us. RIP Ruby, we will NEVER forget you, love always Brittany Mont.
